At 21, I bought my first house. It was a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo in San Mateo, California. I remember how difficult and scary it was to select an appropriate loan, and to try to understand the loan programs, interest rates and loan options. I didn’t know what a Good Faith Estimate was, less even how to read one. My realtor and loan officer were both new to the industry, and there wasn’t much buyer guidance from either.
That experience, and my subsequent property purchases throughout California over the last three decades, have shaped my business to what it is today. I have designed and built custom homes, I have drawn floor plans, I have walked property lines, I have dealt with the building and planning departments in most counties, and I have reviewed bids and contracts for myself and for many clients.
Fast forward to 2023, I have been a Real Estate Broker and mortgage broker in the state of California since 2003. I love what I do, and this is reflected in my clients’ testimonials. I am one of the few Brokers that knows both sides of the mortgage and real estate transactions equally well.

I have rewritten this opening sentence a hundred times. You see, I don’t typically write my mortgage broker to thank them, but note I use the word “my”.

Very rarely, one has the opportunity to meet a person who becomes a lifelong friend. It’s all ok when you can list a large number of ways you are the best mortgage broker I or my family has ever worked with. Maybe I could list all the ways you are able to deal with complexity and maybe I could point out how you can magically make everything work, rates can go down, paperwork is accepted, loans are approved weeks ahead of time, or maybe I can tell you how you can get appraisals overnight when there was not one appraiser who was free for weeks!
But in reality, the word is trust. Not only within the professional services you provided for all the offers and two property purchases, but also trust as a person. I know that there may be something you cannot get done … (in theory, there must be something you cannot do, I haven’t seen that yet!) It will be because the very forces of nature prevent you from getting it done!
But maybe there is no secret to your invulnerability – maybe it has to do with the fact that:
– You are emailing, texting, calling and cajoling all parties all the time, 24 hours a day – i am not joking… She will text back and forth at 2 am….
– You never give up
– You are able to get insurance agents, escrow officers, real estate agents, employers, employees, buyers and sellers to do whatever you want, when you want, and are able to tell them how to do anything!
– You have such a command of mortgage companies and banks that you are able to get me rates that I have not ever seen possible! I wish I had known you when I did my refinance last year!
– You understand that the time from offer acceptance to closing is basically a large set of expected crises that can be solved by persistent documentation, followup and ingenuity. Working with you is like working with a battle tank – all I have to do is hide behind and follow the path that you flatten out for me.
– You actually understand the real estate business in all its aspects! Probably because you have so much experience with years in the business actively soaking up the details of how you become the best broker I have ever seen!
